Rarely does gold go out of style, and since the price of gold has risen it has become super cool again, so the latest accessories are going glam.

Limited Edition Ultra Gold Ray-Ban Aviators

The name Ray Ban is almost synonymous with sunglasses, it seems they have been trying to design the perfect pair since before the sun started shining.

This may not be the most perfect pair in existence, but it is a nice, expensive attempt.

In the classic aviator style (as made famous by Tom Cruise in Top Gun and policemen everywhere), is given a posh edge with 22k gold plated frames.

We are doubting many police salaries allow for a limited edition gold plated pair of Ray Bans, but we wouldn’t be wearing our shocked face if we saw Tom Cruise in a pair.

They are gold alright, gold and absolutely useless in any practical terms.

Designed by Chinese designer Zhu Fei, these glasses contain 111.33 grams of gold and very few eye holes.

We aren’t sure what else to say about this item, gold glasses you can’t see out of is one of the reasons we are in the business.

So we’ll just say this, some items will be more satisfying to recycle than others.

Solid Gold Zippo

A solid gold zippo lighter does earn its owner some cool points, at least it serves a useful purpose.

The zippo is the James Dean of lighters, so it stands to reason that an 18K gold version would have even more cool sex appeal

.

A price tag of $3500 dollars makes it just enough of a splurge that only the fabulously wealthy would even entertain the thought of purchasing one.

This is one of those items that if we were rich we would own, just to light our cigars (but only when we don’t have any $100 dollar bills to light them with).

We just want to know if the price will ever fluctuate along with the price of gold.

Gold Cassette Belt Buckle

This belt buckle is “So 80’s” that it sold out, over a year ago.

Either that, or they only made 2 of them and decided it wasn’t worth it to make any more.

The buckle is an actual cassette tape, reinforced with bronze and plated with 18 karat gold which gives it that retro effect.

Frankly, when we look at it we’re not sure whether to laugh or cry.

We just had to throw this one in, because it is a perfect example of what should be recycled for the greater good.

Instead it carries a price tag of $10,000 dollars (we can’t believe it hasn’t sold).

Originally priced at a measly $3750 in 1975, this digital bling is some serious solid gold retro.

We have to admit, this relic is in fantastic condition, whoever is selling it took good care of it.

In the end, we aren’t so sure these accessories will make anyone look posh, especially those useless sunglasses, those would just make us look clumsy.
