Gold Clothing For the Ladies

Gold is So In this Season
Metallic colors are back this season, so we say take full advantage of that fact to get yourself some real gold clothing.
Who Needs Jewelry?
Ditch the gold lame this summer and throw on some real golden threads when you feel the need for a little summer shimmer.
We can think of nothing nicer on the skin during the summer than sun warmed metal.
The Must-Haves In Summer Gold-Wear
Add these to your shopping list, because heavy metal is in, and we mean heavy.

Coin Gown

Designed and made to honor the Vienna Philharmonic, this dress consists of 18 pounds of gold Austrian coins.
The process was funded by Japan’s largest bullion house and the dress is worth close to 30 million yen…which roughly translates to $275,000 dollars
We can only imagine how long it took the design students at Tokyo’s Bunka Fashion College to layout and build something that can only comfortably be worn for about 10 minutes, max.
The poor 110 pound model wearing it in the picture made it clear she wasn’t up for going dancing after the party.

Swimsuit

Made by the same people that brought you the 18 pound dress above, the gold swimsuit isn’t quite as heavy to dance in but every bit as pricey.
Not only does this swim suit have a price tag of $82,000 dollars but it takes a month to make
The gold is spun into fine fibers and then woven to make the suit fabric, and the designer makes it very clear that this is one useless swimsuit because it cannot be worn in the water.
Our question is this, what is the point of a bathing suit made from an indestructible material that you can’t even wear into the water?

Bra

We have to admit, we think all the ladies should have one or two of these.
If you want this one you’ll need to sell stock because it will run you almost $1.9 million dollars.
This bra is so swanky it even has a name, ‘The Phoenix’ and while it looks hot here, it also looks uncomfortable enough to make us glad we don’t have to wear one.

Not only are they gold in color, but they are gold in content too.
We just have one thing to say, these are the ugliest pair of shoes we have ever seen and we think the gold could be put to much better use.
Designed by an Italian designer and requested by the World Gold Council, these shoes are made with up to 680 grams of pure gold. (That’s 24K folks).
They may be ugly but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth something, although we had no luck finding out just how much. 680 grams is around $19,000 worth of gold alone.

Wedges

Only Louis Vuitton could bring us gold quite like this.
Built with purple satin straps and plated with gold on both the sole and the buckle these sandals don’t mess around.
Not only are they the tackiest selection in this article but they are one of the most reasonably priced.
With a price tag of $855.00 dollars we feel sure we will see all of the girls on the reality tv shows wearing them

Sneaker Laces

Who needs gold shoes when you can wear shoes with golden laces?
P Diddy (or whatever he calls himself these days) has been seen with this particular pair designed by Upper Echelon Shoes and called ‘Seni’.
The laces themselves were designed by Gabriel Urist, can be used on any pair of shoes and run about $500.00
It seems the celebrities can’t get enough of this item, but these laces can’t be tied so we aren’t sure how any of them keep their shoes on.
We’ll Take One of Each Please
Again we say, we’d love to get our hands on any one (or all) of the items in this article.
Most of them are overpriced, some of them are way too bling, and they are all over-the-top.
Strangely this makes us want them even more.
Of course that is probably because should we get them, we will be melting them down so they can be recycled and given a real job.
